Toaster Pastry Mini Tablet/Cell Phone Sleeve

I wrote this pattern to fit my daughter’s little toddler tablet which measures 3.5x5 inches, but can easily be adjusted to fit any size by adding a few more starting chains for width and a few more rows for height. The pictures aren't the greatest but I can't use my camera (lost the battery charger) so I had to use my phone.

Hook size I-5.25mm, WW yarn

Pastry:
With base color (tan for mine) chain 16.
Row 1: hdc in 3rd ch from hook (the 2 skipped chains will not count as a hdc), hdc in next 12, 2hdc in last, hdc in next 13 along the back,  join at the top of the first hdc. (28)
Row 2-14: ch 2, hdc around, join to top of ch 2. (28)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Icing:
With icing color (I’m using purple for a Wild Berry toaster pastry) chain 13.
Row 1: hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc across. (12)
Row 2-10: ch2, turn, hdc across (12)
Leave a long enough tail to sew to the pastry. You can sew all four sides or leave the top unsewn for a pocket.

With accent icing color (blue on mine) slip stitch the swirl design in the top of the icing piece any way you want.
With another color you can add a cute happy face.

Sew the icing to the pastry sleeve, it doesn’t have to be straight or perfect. Look at an actual toaster pastry, they are never perfect.

Weave in ends and enjoy your tasty tablet sleeve!
