Toaster Pastry Mini Tablet/Cell Phone Sleeve

I wrote this pattern to fit my daughter’s little toddler tablet which measures 3.5x5 inches, but can easily be adjusted to fit any size by adding a few more starting chains for width and a few more rows for height. The pictures aren't the greatest but I can't use my camera (lost the battery charger) so I had to use my phone.

Hook size I-5.25mm, WW yarn

Pastry:
With base color (tan for mine) chain 16.
Row 1: hdc in 3rd ch from hook (the 2 skipped chains will not count as a hdc), hdc in next 12, 2hdc in last, hdc in next 13 along the back,  join at the top of the first hdc. (28)
Row 2-14: ch 2, hdc around, join to top of ch 2. (28)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Icing:
With icing color (I’m using purple for a Wild Berry toaster pastry) chain 13.
Row 1: hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc across. (12)
Row 2-10: ch2, turn, hdc across (12)
Leave a long enough tail to sew to the pastry. You can sew all four sides or leave the top unsewn for a pocket.

With accent icing color (blue on mine) slip stitch the swirl design in the top of the icing piece any way you want.
With another color you can add a cute happy face.

Sew the icing to the pastry sleeve, it doesn’t have to be straight or perfect. Look at an actual toaster pastry, they are never perfect.

Weave in ends and enjoy your tasty tablet sleeve!

6 Month Baby Bunny Costume

Here are the patterns for the baby bunny hat and diaper cover I made for my daughter for her first Easter.

The hat is not my pattern, it is from Mango Tree Crafts and was the inspiration for my patterns. Be sure to learn the cluster stitch and the BLO (back loop only) single crochet if you don't already know those, as they are used the entire pattern.

Terms to know:
cl st: Cluster Stitch
sk st: Skip Stitch
sp: Space
ch: Chain
blo: Back Loop Only
sc: Single Crochet

So here it goes. what you will need:
Bernat Baby Softee in Soft Peach
Red Heart Super Saver in White
Size G(4.5mm)
A yarn needle
and for the tail a couple small rubber bands.

Ears for hat: make 2

R1: Make 6 Cluster Stitches (cl st) in a Magic Ring, join in first cluster.
R2: Join white yarn, chain 2 do not turn, 2 cl st in first space, switch to peach, 2 cl st in each space around and join. (2 white, 10 peach) There is no need to fasten off at the end of each color change, the backside will be inside the ears and won't be seen so just carry the colors over throughout.
R3-10: in white chain 2 do not turn, cl st in first two stitches, switch to peach, cl st in next 10. (2 white, 10 peach)
R4: flatten ear with white in the middle and sl st across the bottom to close off, fold in half at the bottom and sew together to create the shape of the ear.
Sew to sides of the hat, fasten off and weave in ends.

Diaper Cover:

R20: turn, 2cl st in first 2 stitches, cl st in next 11 st, 2 cl st in last 2 stitches, ch 3 (19)
Attach to front of diaper cover leaving two spaces on each side.
2 sc in each st around leg holes
Fasten off and weave in ends

Tail:

Wrap white yarn around four fingers a ton of times, the more you wrap the thicker the tail will be. Pull off of fingers and wrap small rubber bands around the middle of the bundle as tight as you can get it. cut all loops in half on each end. trim ends until you have a perfect puff ball. sew securely into middle of the backside of the diaper cover. fasten off and weave in ends.

And there you have it an Easter Bunny costume in size 6 months. This is my first pattern to post so if you find any problems please let me know so I can fix it. And if you alter the pattern to fit bigger or smaller sizes or whatever feel free to post your changes in the comments in case someone else would benefit from your alterations.
